When I came back home, I started back into school at BYU Idaho, this time focusing only on math and letting physics fall to be my minor. All throughout college I told myself and anyone that would ask that I would never be a teacher. My last semester I had to substitute a math education class for one of my other classes and I fell in love with teaching.

I realized that if I wanted to continue teaching that I should go on to grad school. I selected Utah State and once again studied math. Logan was fun, and I loved going to the basketball games (Go Aggies!) but when BYU Idaho called me after I got my Master's degree to see if I would be interested in teaching, I jumped at the opportunity because no matter where I am my heart is always in Idaho.
My family sold the Hungry Bear Market in Island Park last November. It is weird to go home and not work there. I have been dating Steven Turner for about 2 years now. He is a great guy, couldn't ask for better, but he is a nerd just like me, he works at the INL. I guess that’s what I get.
I have fun marking off things that I never thought that I would do. For example: got a dog, traveled to different countries, did triathlons, went on cruises, raced snowmachines, sky dove, wakeboarded, surfed, curled with the U.S. Olympic coach, summated mountains, rode in a demolition derby, worked for fish and game, became addicted to Dr. Mario, got an amazing Chaco tan, saw a real hockey fight, and worked in the ‘spuds’ for the first time.
I’ve made some amazing friends over the years but it has been fun to try to stay in touch with people from our class, I wish that I was better and I am excited for this blog so I can find contact information for those that I have lost contact with.
